WebSep 10, 2013 · I have three California White Leghorn hens. They are now 22 weeks and the combs are turning brighter red and they are fighting amonst themselves a bit. My rooster is attempting to keep the peace, but they are showing signs of fighting on the combs. Hopefully they will work it out soon! jha This is how they look now at 22 weeks. They may very well be crosses and not real White Leghorns (most commercial strains are barely like the real breed- the parents of Cornish X are nothing like White Rocks or White Cornish, from what I've heard).
